Disclaimer
Information only
Everything on Torque Teardown – 3D views, part lists, specs, mods, tuning figures, fault codes and prices – is general information. It isn’t professional, mechanical, legal or insurance advice, and it may contain mistakes or be out of date.
The 3D models are for illustration. They may be simplified and not match your car exactly.
Part numbers
- Part numbers can change with model year, engine, trim, factory options and mid-production updates.
- Always check a part number against your car’s VIN with a main dealer or trusted parts supplier before you buy.
- Aftermarket part numbers shown on the site have not all been checked by us.
- Prices are a guide only. Your own prices in My Garage are whatever you enter.
Power, torque and tuning figures
- Power and torque gains for remaps and mods are tuner claims or estimates, not tested results. We label them where we can.
- Real results depend on your car’s condition, mileage, fuel, other mods and the person doing the work.
- Tuning can add stress to the engine, gearbox and clutch, and may affect your warranty.
Tell your insurer
Remaps and most modifications must be declared to your insurer. If you don’t, your policy could be void and a claim could be refused. Check with your insurer before you make any change.
MOT, emissions and noise
- Some modifications can make a car fail its MOT, for example removing or tampering with a diesel particulate filter (DPF), catalytic converter or EGR system, or causing extra smoke or a too-loud exhaust.
- Your car must also meet the construction and use rules on the road all the time, not just on MOT day.
- For the official rules, see the DVSA’s MOT inspection manual on GOV.UK.
Off-road and track only
MOT history
MOT history comes from the DVSA. We show it as we receive it and can’t correct errors in it.
Working on your car
- Any work you do on a car is at your own risk.
- Use proper tools, safety equipment and axle stands – never work under a car held up only by a jack.
- For brakes, steering, suspension, fuel, airbags, high-voltage systems or anything you’re unsure about, use a qualified mechanic.
We’re not responsible for loss, damage or injury that comes from relying on information on the site, except where the law says we can’t exclude it. See our terms for full details.
