Terms of use

Last updated: 2 November 2026

These terms apply when you use Torque Teardown. Please read them with our privacy notice and disclaimer. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them.

Who we are

Torque Teardown is run by Torque Teardown, a sole trader. Contact: TorqueTeardown@gmail.com.

Free and Pro

Anyone can use the free version. Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks extra features: Mods, Tune (remap checker), fault Codes and My Garage, including your own prices and part numbers and MOT history lookups by registration.

We may improve, change or retire features over time. If we remove a major Pro feature, we’ll tell you and you can cancel. Pro then stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Prices and payment

Cancelling

You can cancel any time by emailing us. Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then won’t renew. We don’t refund part-used periods, but this doesn’t affect your legal rights below.

Your 14-day right to cancel

Under UK consumer law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), you normally have 14 days from the day you first subscribe to change your mind and get a refund.

Because Pro is digital content you can use straight away, when you subscribe we ask you to agree that Pro starts immediately and to confirm you understand that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once it starts. We confirm this in your receipt email. You can still cancel at any time to stop future payments, but we don’t refund payments already made, apart from where the law says we must (for example if Pro is faulty or not as described).

If something is wrong with Pro, contact us at TorqueTeardown@gmail.com and we’ll put it right.

Your account

Fair use

Please don’t:

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account. Where it’s fair to do so, we’ll warn you first.

Our content

The site, its design and our written content belong to us or the people who license them to us. Some 3D models are made by others and used under Creative Commons licences – see credits. You can use Torque Teardown for your own personal use.

Accuracy of information

We work hard to get things right, but car data is complicated and changes. Specs, part numbers, power and torque figures, tuner claims and prices may be wrong, out of date or not suit your exact car. Some aftermarket part numbers and tuner figures have not been checked by us. MOT data comes from the DVSA and we can’t guarantee it. Please read the disclaimer before relying on anything here.

The site is provided “as is”. We can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Our responsibility to you

Other websites

We link to other sites, such as model creators, suppliers and the DVSA. We’re not responsible for their content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we’ll tell you before it applies. If you don’t agree, you can cancel your subscription.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.

If you have a problem, please contact us first at TorqueTeardown@gmail.com and we’ll try to put it right.
